You'll be sure to let us know when he's ready to chair his first committee? We have a vacancy.

Glad he's doing well. And I hope you're all adapting well to the changes. Beautiful picture.

He's beautiful. Congratulations! I guess that's not the birthplan that Becky had worked out, but I hope she's doing well nonetheless.

I am soooo pleased that I didn't have to deliver either of ours; not really surprising you're on the scotch.

Best wishes to you all.

Hey wait though! Isn't that a Bob-sized bucket in the background?

Pity we've had our hot day for this year; sitting out there in the autumn doesn't have quite same appeal. Mind you, I cleaned out our wheelie-bin the other day and thought it would make a nice plunge pool once all the maggots were out. And if there weren't a hosepipe ban. And if I could figure out a safe way to get out.

Keep smiling.

minka was the rabbit that sat and rotted in the cage in their yard. the squirrel that lived in the cage in the kitchen for a time was the same one that bit the old lady really hard on the heel while they were eating breakfast (baby oatmeal and half-raw FINAST brand bacon, reduced for quick sale). her name was antoinette. i don't know if the squirrel had a name. but they did have a guinea pig named cedric that smelled of stale piss and cedar chips, that jimmy zapert used to imitate in a way that was so accurate as to be unhealthy. they used to yell at gramma antoinette all the time like GRAMMA SHUT UP and OH NO GRAMMA SHIT HER PANTS AGAIN and JESUS CHRIST SHE STINKS and stuff like that.

their household used to scare me sometimes, but it was a good place to play 'cause you could do anything you wanted to, pretty much, due to the marital strife and general out of control atmosphere. it was the kid's house where you had things sent that you'd bought from catalogs that your parent would NEVER let you have, like slingshots, bb guns, and knives, because you knew Cele (Seal?) would be too busy controlling her nervous tic or scooping her drunk husband up off the floor to even notice.

it was great sometimes. we lit a lot of shit on fire there, cooked over campfires, roamed around at night and, generally, got to do things boys used to get to do without being bothered too much by adults. or being jailed.
